I asked my 3-year-old daughter to draw me a yellow flower. I thought it was a sweet result.   

My son made this in school for me today. I will be wearing the rubber band and construction paper around my wrist for the rest of the day. ❤   

Every year my parents throw an end-of-the-year party for the music faculty, present and past students who studied with my father, their families, significant others, and accompanists. My little man isn’t so little anymore, and that was made much clearer today when I registered him for Kindergarten. They talked about school bus stops and curriculum and open houses, all the while I’m thinking ‘when did he get old enough to do this?’   

I’m putting together a picnic table kit for my father for his birthday. It comes in a difficult-to-move box that you have to tear open from the trunk of your car. I’ve been going on meandering walks lately, following the sights and sounds, and sometimes using GPS to get me back by the end. Last night I found a little slice of zen and am hoping we’ll have butterflies galore there later this year.
