I’m putting together a picnic table kit for my father for his birthday. It comes in a difficult-to-move box that you have to tear open from the trunk of your car. I carried all the pieces to the deck and started assembling them last week. It’s been raining ever since.
Today was hot and sunny, so I filled in the worst knots with wood filler and let that dry in the heat. I busted out the power sander and started taking off the wood stamps, dents, and splinters. Now the stain is on and I’m ready for a cold drink.
Hopefully I can get the polyurethane on before another storm rolls through and before the BBQ party next weekend.
