I’m an artistic g(r)eek who grew up in Northwest Ohio. I love learning new things and am happy when I’m challenged. I like learning new languages, whether programming or spoken. I started studying Greek when I was 9, German when I was 10, and French when I was 11. I took my first Computer Science course my senior year of college. I loved it so much, I kept adding on senior years to take more courses, but decided finally it was better to graduate with what I had.
Music is a huge part of my life and heritage. I play the piano and have sung in choirs all over the US and Europe. My dad is an opera singer and moved my family to Germany in 1988 for a year sabbatical. I never forgot the language. I ended up adding German as a second major in college and moving to Austria for another year’s stay. Now I’m in New York and I love how much it reminds me of Bavaria.
