I’m making crockpot chili today and thought I’d share the recipe.
Brown 1-2 lbs hamburger (salt and pepper) add to crockpot.
In the crockpot, put a 1lb can of Bush’s baked beans (do not rinse) and a 1lb can of whole peeled tomatoes (do not drain and cut them up with kitchen scissors).
Rinse 2-4 cans of beans (try to make at least 1-2 kidney beans). Add to crockpot.
Mix well.
Fill the rest of the space with tomato juice. Leave an inch or two of space from the edge of the top.
Add chili powder if you want.
Cook on high for 6 hours or low on 8.
It’s a super flexible recipe and you basically want to add ingredients until you can’t fit any more in.
There will be leftovers, but let it cool a bit, then start adding it to gallon ZipLock bags and freeze for another day.
